WINTER SPORTS IN THE ZILLERTAL
SKI & SNOWBOARD TOURS
Due to the increasing popularity of freeriding more and more boarders and skiers leave the slopes and go down off the tracks. For good skiers and boarders the adventure starts where the slopes end.
VANS PENKEN PARK
The Vans Penken Park offers excellent conditions and plenty of action to all freeriders, snowboarders and freeskiers.
ICE CLIMBING
Fascination ice climbing: The Zillertal offers you a wide range of ice climbing routes in all degrees of difficulty, from beginners to advanced level. First you will practice walking and climbing with the crampons and afterswards you will get into the vertival ice.
SNOWSHOEING
No other activity enables such a close contact with the wintry silence of the mountains and the forest. Only a few scattered tracks from deer, hares and foxes interrupt the untouched snow mantle. As there isno specific knowledge necessary, especially non-skiers have the opportunity to enjoy the wintry environment with their family and friends.

Gerlosstein toboggan run The Gerlosstein toboggan run is situated in Hainzenberg. With a lenght of 7km this run is the longest illuminated natural one in the valley. You can borrow sledges at the ground station of the Gerlosstein cable car. |

Lanersbach-Höllensteinhütte This hut is located at 1.740m above sea level. For the ascent on the 5 km long slope you will need approx 80 minutes. Alternatively you can use the shuttle service. Sledges can be borrowed directly in the hut. |

Juns- Grieralm This hut is situated at 1.787m above sea level. For climbing up the 5km long slope you will need 90 minutes. Sledges can be borrowed directly in the hut |

Hintertux, Bichlalm This hut is located at 1.695m above sea level. The run has a lenght of 3km. For this route you will need 50 minutes. |

Ginzling - Tristenbachalm After a walk of 2,5km (1 hour) you will reach the Tristenbachalm, at 1.117m above sea level. You can also go there by taxi. The owner organizes events with live music weekly. Sledges can be borrowed directly in the hut. |
